Who We Are

The Minnesota Society of Pathologists (MSP) is the state’s only professional organization dedicated to pathologists.

It is the forum where pathologists get closer together to exchange information and knowledge in all phases of the practice of pathology.

MSP offers an annual fall seminar where high quality faculty discuss issues that impact the practice of pathology.

Clinical Presentation

An 81-year-old woman presented with an enlarged left supraclavicular lymph node. There were PET positive lesions of the tongue, epigastric lymph nodes, right middle lobe of lung, and mid-transverse colon. Her past medical history was significant for a TAH-BSO procedure to treat endometrial carcinoma (stage 1 at the time of diagnosis). Needle biopsy of the lymph node was performed. Histological examination confirmed a largely necrotic tumor. An extensive IHC workup was performed. The case was sent in for consultation.
